The coronavirus pandemic has impacted many sectors, one of these includes the global and domestic energy companies. To share ideas on ways to boost Indonesia’s Energy Sector in a post pandemic world, the EuroCham Energy Working Group organized a monthly meeting focused on the Revitalize Energy Sector: The Ways to Boost Indonesia’s Energy Sector in a Post Pandemic World.

The Meeting, which was conducted on 11 February, was moderated by Thomas Wagner (EuroCham Head of Energy Working Group / Chief Representative South-East Asia-Envitec Biogas AG), and invited speakers from McKinsey & Company: Khoon Tee Tan (Senior Partner) and Thomas Hansmann (Partner). The invited speakers shared ideas for turning around Indonesia’s energy sector and delivering value to the country’s economic growth and development.

The EuroCham Chemical Working Group organized a kick-off meeting to share updates on latest policy changes and discuss the plan for the EuroCham Chemical Position Paper 2021. The Meeting was held on 5 February 2021 and began with a discussion on the issuance of the Omnibus Law and its implementing regulations. Relevant to the sector, the Group highlighted the main issues within the Draft Government Regulation on Trade, Draft Government Regulation on Industry, Draft Government Regulation on Implementation of Halal Product Assurance, and Draft Presidential on Capital Investment. This Meeting also collected inputs on topics to be included into the Chemical Position Position Papers 2021.
