As a follow up from the previous year’s success, EuroCham once again commissioned the annual Business Confidence Index, which gathers information and opinion from European business operating in Indonesia. Managed by BritCham, the Business Confidence Index highlights the overall sentiment from European business towards Indonesia’s policy, business climate, investment, and so forth.
The Business Confidence Index shows a strong level of confidence in the long-awaited investment in infrastructure projects. In addition, the report also shows that businesses believe that the government is ready to act in more positive ways to support the pitch for FDI – this should translate to tangible improvements with regards the regulatory. Lastly, more than one-third of businesses domiciled in Indonesia are poised to make further significant investment over the next two years and possibly outside of Greater Jakarta.
