The Transport & Logistics Working Group had a meeting on Tuesday, 16 September 2014 at 3 – 5 p.m. at EuroCham office. The meeting invited external guests from ALFI (Indonesian Logistics & Forwarders Association) and the World Bank. During the meeting, Chairman of ALFI, Mr Yukki Nugrahawan, shared the policy priorities and the Work Plan of ALFI under his Chairmanship and he expressed his interest to further cooperate with EuroCham on various cross-cutting issues. EuroCham and ALFI are planning to sign MoU as an umbrella for a closer cooperation in the future.
The second external guest, Stephen Mageira and his team from the World Bank, briefly presented his study on the regulatory issues that impacting the Indonesian logistics sector and asked input from the group. Other agenda of the meeting include the discussion on Customs (including inward cargo manifest), latest update on the new requirements on the airport security, ID cards for non-courier companies, meeting plan with the new government, new security regime in Indonesia, and election of the new Deputy Head of the group. Christian Beck from DB Schenker was unanimously elected as the Deputy Head of Transport & Logistics Working Group.
