Maintaining the advocacy effort for the automotive sector, the Automotive Working Group recently held its kick-off meeting on 28 February 2017. Chaired by Mr. Ary Tjahyono (Mercedes-Benz), the meeting discussed the issues that are still being concerns for automotive companies. This includes import of tyres, import of steel and iron, as well as automotive industry policy.
The meeting also elaborated on the upcoming issues such as emission, fuel standards, CO2 excise, all of which are closely monitored by the Working Group. In addition, the Working Group further discuss the ongoing CEPA negotiation, in which EuroCham is preparing a position paper to support the negotiation rounds between the EU and Indonesia.
