The members of the EuroCham Energy Working Group are companies working in all areas of the energy sector, which include exploration, production, refining, trading, and infrastructure as well as power industries.
Over the coming decade, the Indonesian demand of energy will be increasing due to population growth as well as fast economic and industrial development. In order to mitigate the environmental impact of energy use, Indonesia plans to reduce the utilsation of fossil energy and to increase the renewable energy in the energy mix target, and also to optimise the energy efficency of all activities from the exploration side to the end users. To achieve a continuous and environmentally sustainable growth. a comprehensive development plan including massive financial and technological investments is needed.
The objective of the EuroCham Energy Working Group is to facilitate and promote the contribution to this development by European private energy companies doing business in the energy sector in Indonesia. To this end,the Working Group provides a venue for discussions and experience sharing on relevant energy issues with the objective to engage in a proactive dialogue with the Government of Indonesia and other stakeholders.
Furthermore, the working group intends to become a key dialogue partner for Indonesian ministries in the effort to stimulate European investments in the energy sector. This effort will be conducted in close cooperation with European organisations such as Bilateral Chambers, Business Associations, Embassies and European institutions.
All interested companies are very welcome to join.
