CEPA Updates

After the second round held in Bali, January 2017 and inter-sessional meetings before summer, the EU and Indonesia continued the third round of CEPA negotiation in Brussels, on 11-15 September 2017. Prior to the third round, both sides exchanged several text proposals.

According to official press release from the Indonesian Ministry of Trade, both sides are currently targeting the finalization of market access framework. It is expected that such framework can be concluded in the fourth round, which will be organized in Indonesia early next year.

In the light of CEPA Negotiation, EuroCham has submitted its Position Paper to the EU Delegation on 20 September. As changes within Indonesia’s business environment is inevitable, EuroCham will continue to update the Position Paper according to the recent development.
