Joint Advocacy with ASPERINDO: Simplifying Import Licenses for Forestry Products

Aiming to simplify the process for import licenses of forestry products, EuroCham initiated a meeting with Mr. Putera Parthama (Director General of Sustainable Forest Management of Ministry of Environment and Forestry). Held on 29 August 2017, and attended by ASPERINDO representatives, the meeting revealed the current situation in which Ministry of Environment and Forestry is currently working together with the Ministry of Trade and the Customs and Excise to shift the current implementation of border supervision mechanism to post border supervision. Formal submission of inputs following this meeting will be submitted to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry to offer recommendations from the business perspectives.
