THE 2021 EDELMAN TRUST BAROMETER

On 28 April 2021, EuroCham co-hosted the annual launch of the Edelman Trust Barometer Indonesia Findings. The 2021 Edelman Trust Barometer is the firm’s 21st annual trust and credibility survey that survey’s people’s trust in core institutions: such as the Government, Business, Media and NGOs. This year's Indonesia survey, the first launched since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, examines today's fundamental rebalancing of power as the world continues to grapple with the pandemic. This year’s findings reveal strong trust levels in Indonesia, with businesses expected to lead the pandemic recovery. With this in mind, it becomes mission-critical for companies to determine how to lead through the recovery and chart a viable plan for their employees to return to the workplace without affecting this trust.

The launching event consisted of a presentation of key survey findings by Bob Grove (Chief Operating Officer of Edelman APAC), Mazuin Zin (Managing Director of Edelman Indonesia) and Maria Tobing (Director of Corporate & Public Affairs of Edelman Indonesia). The presentation was followed by a panel discussion on efforts by the government, businesses, media, and NGOs to address societal interests amidst the current pandemic. The panel featured Charles Honoris (Deputy Chairman of Commission IX of the Indonesian House of Representatives) ; Vera Galuh Sugijanto (VP Secretary General of the Danone Group); Adi Kusma (President Director of Biznet); and Melissa Soentoro (Senior Principal of Korn Ferry) and was moderated
