B20-G20 Dialogue: Trade & Investment Task Force

EuroCham Indonesia participated in the B20-G20 Trade and Investment Task Force Public Dialogue, held virtually and physically at Labuan Bajo on 23 September. The dialogue aims to raise awareness of the capability of trade and investment to propel global recovery, economic growth, and development. During the conference, the G20 Task Force discussed several key highlights based on the B20 four recommendations.

Ministerial remarks opened this event, followed by remarks delivered by Shinta Kamdani, Chair of B20 Indonesia, the Chair and Deputy Chair of B20 Trade & Investment Task Force. Two-panel sessions gathered several B20 actors to discuss the post-pandemic global trade & investment governance in maximizing innovation and digitalization for global economic recovery, growth & resilience, along with the government's support for the achievement of SDGs through the creation of inclusive and resilient global value chains.

The Indonesian government welcomed the policy recommendations and hopes that the B20-G20 Public Dialogue could strengthen collaboration and policy-making on trade, investment and industry, thus contributing to society's well-being.
