Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) FGD on the Local Content Requirement on Pharmaceutical Sector

Published on 17 October 2022

On September 9, the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), Indonesia invited EuroCham to participate in an active focus group discussion for their ongoing research study at the CSIS office in Gedung Pakarti Centre. EuroCham was represented by Harimurti Listianto, Deputy Head of EuroCham Pharmaceutical & Medical Technology Working Group and Government Affairs Head at PT Anugerah Pharmindo Lestari.

The discussion was solely focused on the impact of local content requirement policies (TKDN) in the private healthcare sector, delving deeper into the direction and gradual implementation of the policy, and formulating alternatives to ensure investments in the sector. The result of the study will be used to propose policy recommendations to the government, which aims to support industrial development for economic growth.

We would like to thank CSIS for the fruitful discussion and hope to contribute to their studies in an effort to strengthen competitiveness among sectors.
