Cosmetics Working Group at the 32nd ASEAN Cosmetics Scientific Body (ACSB)

EuroCham was invited by the Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM) to attend the 32nd ASEAN Cosmetics Scientific Body (ACSB) Meeting as an observer. The Meeting was conducted virtually for two days (8-9 September 2020), which was attended by government and cosmetic associations from the ASEAN member countries. EuroCham was represented at the Meeting by the Head and Deputy Head of the EuroCham Cosmetic Working Group along with several members of the Working Group.

The Meeting mainly discussed on several technical issues related to the cosmetics sector, such as ingredients review and its safety, new ingredients entries and bans in the region. In addition to this, the Meeting also discussed new regulations on cosmetics from other countries that were considered to be applied in the ASEAN countries.
