Courtesy Meeting with Director of International Tax

On 13 January 2020 EuroCham met the Director of International Tax of Directorate General Tax, Mr. John Hutagaol. In this meeting, EuroCham was represented by Mr. Prawira Atmadja (CFO of BASF Indonesia) as EuroCham Board Member, Mr. Omar Abdulkadir (Taxation Service Advisor of PwC) as the Head of Finance, Tax, and Investment Working Group, and Mr. Sugyanto Halim (CFO of DB Schenker) as the Deputy Head of Transport and Logistics Working Group for Tax, Finance, and Investment.

The meeting prepared and discussed technical details of the upcoming planned meeting with the Director General of Tax, Mr. Suryo Utomo. This meeting is aimed to provide opportunities for both parties to exchange views on development of taxation policies in Indonesia. For the DG Tax, the upcoming meeting could serves as a platform to socialize the ongoing tax reform efforts as well as the omnibus law initiative. As for the Chamber, could provide also an opportunity to provide inputs based on observations related to current taxation development at the strategic policy level.
