Courtesy Meeting with Ministry of Trade’s Director of Export Development Cooperation

EuroCham again visited the Ministry of Trade’s Main Office on 9 July 2019 to meet the Director of Export Development Cooperation, Mr. Marolop Nainggolan. The purpose is to introduce EuroCham activities in supporting the government’s efforts to improve business climate and facilitate more trade relationship with other countries, which will eventually increase Indonesia’s competitiveness. This is also in line with the government’s current focus to boost more export from Indonesia, including from European manufacturers already operating and investing in Indonesia. During this meeting the Directorate of Export Development Cooperation acknowledges that there are challenges as well as potential to boost more exports. The Directorate is therefore working hard to promote Indonesia’s products and conducting business matchmaking efforts to explore new international markets. In these regards, the Directorate also realizes the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors and therefore would welcome any joint efforts with EuroCham to promote more exports.
