Welcome
Danone Site Facility Visit in Tanggamus, Lampung
On July 3, EuroCham Indonesia was delighted to participate in a site visit to Lampung hosted by Danone Indonesia, a Platinum Member of EuroCham. The visit began with a tour of the Tanggamus Factory, led by Radhitya Putra Pratama (Sustainability Development Officer at Danone Indonesia). We had the opportunity to observe the production process of AQUA bottles and learn about the company's sustainability initiatives.
The tour then proceeded to the waste bank, established in collaboration with Yayasan Konservasi Way Seputih (YKWS), the Tanggamus Regency Environmental Agency (Dinas Lingkungan Hidup), and the Tanggamus Central Waste Bank. We gained insights into Danone's role in promoting community-based waste management and advancing circular economy practices within the local community.
The visit continued with Danone's Conservation Coffee program, a downstreaming initiative in the Tanggamus region that empowers local coffee farmers to adopt environmentally sustainable farming and water conservation practices. As part of the initiative, the program also supports the development of value-added MSME products, including locally processed coffee, helping to strengthen community livelihoods while promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
EuroCham Indonesia would once again like to thank our Platinum Member, Danone Indonesia, for hosting the company visit. Special thanks to Karyanto Wibowo, Director of Sustainable Development, and the Danone team for organizing the visit. We look forward to continued collaboration in the future.
