Dissemination of BPOM Regulation No. 16/2025 on the Supervision of Pharmaceutical Products and Processed Foods Through Community Participation

On 17 July, EuroCham had the honor of attending the Socialization of BPOM Regulation No. 16 of 2025 on the Supervision of Pharmaceutical Preparations and Processed Foods Through Community Participation, held by Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM).
Opened by the Head of BPOM, Dr. Taruna Ikrar, M.Kes., the event gathered distinguished guests, including Nagita Slavina, drh. Rahayu Widayanti, Intan Nur Rahmawanti, SH., MH., and representatives from Forhati, Kominfo, BPKN, DWP BPOM, and PERDOSKI. A talk show featuring Muhammad Kashuri, Deputy for the Supervision of Traditional Medicines, Health Supplements, and Cosmetics, further enriched the discussion.
The new regulation highlights BPOM’s commitment to involving the public, including social media influencers, in ensuring product safety through education and community-based supervision. It promotes science-based communication and accessible reporting to reduce misleading claims and increase consumer awareness, especially in health and beauty.
