EU-ABC Meeting with Ministry of Industry on SNI Requirements

On Tuesday, 13 July 2021, EuroCham was invited by the EU-ASEAN Business Council (EU-ABC) to jointly meet with the Ministry of Industry who were represented by the Head of the Agency for Standardization and Policy for Industrial Services, Doddy Rahadi. The meeting aimed at exchanging views between industry and the government on the recent issuance of Government Regulation No. 28/2021 on Administration of Industries, especially articles related to SNI Requirements, certification bodies (LSPros) requirements, and several other provisions on Government Regulation No. 28/2021, as it has generated confusion and uncertainties amongst investors, industry players, and LSPros. In conclusion, the government indicated its willingness to invite business actors to a public hearing related to the implementing regulation of Government Regulation No. 28/2021 currently being drafted.
