EU-ASEAN Business Council Executive Roundtable on EPR & Circular Consumption

EuroCham Indonesia participated in the Executive Roundtable on EPR & Circular Consumption: Feeding ASEAN Sustainably – Packaging, Recovery and Responsible Consumption Systems, organised by the EU-ASEAN Business Council on 30 June 2026 in Jakarta.

Representing EuroCham, Danone Indonesia joined the discussion alongside government representatives, industry stakeholders, Producer Responsibility Organisations, waste management actors, and community representatives.

The roundtable explored the development of effective Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) frameworks, circular packaging systems, and sustainable consumption models to support Indonesia’s and ASEAN’s broader sustainability objectives. Participants exchanged views on practical and inclusive approaches to packaging recovery, recycling, and circular economy implementation, highlighting the importance of collaboration across the value chain.

EuroCham appreciates the opportunity to contribute to this regional dialogue and remains committed to supporting evidence-based policy discussions on EPR, circular economy development, and sustainable consumption practices in Indonesia and ASEAN.
