EuroCham Attended the 35th ASEAN Cosmetic Scientific Body Meeting

The EuroCham Cosmetics Working Group was invited by the National Agency of Drug and Food Control (BPOM) as an observer to the 35th ASEAN Cosmetic Scientific Body (ACSB) Session, which was held online on 10-11 May 2022. The session was attended by Drh. Rachmi Setyorini, MKM (Director of Standardization of OTSKK) along with representatives from the Ministry of Health, BPOM technical units, and associations from the cosmetics industry.

Part of the agenda of the Meeting was to discuss Amendments to several EU Cosmetic Regulations that can possibly be adopted in the Annexes of the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive; the safety of Climbazole in several products; Menthyl Anthranilate as sunscreen; information sharing documents on Cosmetic refilling, Cosmetics in vials and ampoules, and Personalized cosmetic products; as well as the definition of nano ingredients.
