EuroCham Chemical Working Group Meeting

On July 17, the Chemical Working Group held its regular meeting at the EuroCham office.

The meeting was opened by the Head of the Working Group, Inezia Aurelia (Head of Regulatory Management & Trade Compliance at Merck Chemicals & Life Sciences), and Deputy Head, Haqiki Aplesiasfika (Senior Product Regulatory Specialist at Dow Indonesia).

Members engaged in a focused discussion on recent developments related to the importation and distribution of chemical materials, including hazardous substances. The group also addressed the upcoming implementation of mandatory halal certification for chemical, biological, and genetically modified products, which is set to take effect in 2026. In addition, members reviewed ongoing initiatives and outlined upcoming action plans.
