EuroCham Transport and Logistics Working Group Presented Carrier’s Business Process in relation to Economic Operator

On 28 July 2020, EuroCham Transport and Logistics Working Group was invited by the Director of Technical Customs, Fadjar Donny Tjahjadi to speak in an internalization event of the Directorate of Technical within the Directorate General of Customs and Excise. The event aims to enhance the capacity, integrity, integrity, knowledge and skill, as well as competency of the Directorate of Technical Customs in order to increase the performance of the organization. The virtual event was attended by 137 participants from various directorates within the Customs Main Office.

Prior to the invitation, EuroCham was informed about the ongoing plan by the Customs in developing a new draft regulation on Authorized Economic Operator, and wherein the Customs intended to invite EuroCham Transport and Logistics Working Group to support in understanding better the overall business process and practice of international carriers in relation to Economic Operator. EuroCham was the only speakers for this event and was represented by members of the Transport and Logistics Working Group coming from different sub-sectors, including freight forwarding, express companies, shipping lines business, namely the Head and Deputy Head of the Working Group, Marco Pietsch (Country Director of Logwin Air + Ocean) and Jop Patinggi (General Manager of A. Hartrodt), as well as other representatives including Ratna Dewi (Director of A. Hartrodt), Niken Laksmi Wardhani (Customs & Regulatory Affairs Manager of DHL Express Indonesia), and Agung Budiharto (Business Process & eCommerce Manager of CMA-CGM).
