Finance and Tax Working Group Meeting with Director General of Tax

On 11 February 2020, EuroCham Finance and Tax Working Group together with US-ASEAN Business Council, Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Jakarta Japan Club met with Suryo Utomo, Director General of Tax. The DG Tax presented tax plans and upcoming programs in 2020, as well as six substantial pillars in the Omnibus Law on Taxation which covers Law on Income Tax, Value Added Tax (VAT), General Provisions and Procedures for Taxation, Customs, and Regional Tax. The presentation by DG Tax was followed with brief presentations of inputs, questions, and recommendations from foreign chambers’ perspective regarding general taxation issue and Omnibus Law. Lastly, the chamber also handed over written inputs relevant to Omnibus Law and General Inputs on Taxation to the Director General.
