Finance, Tax, and Investment Working Group Meeting

On 2 July 2019, the EuroCham Finance, Tax and Investment Working Group held its regular meeting. The meeting was hosted by PwC at their office. Mr. Omar Abdulkadir (Taxation Service Advisor of PwC) as Head of Working Group opened the meeting and shared latest updates on advocacy activities on the past months with relevant stakeholders, as well as few draft regulations on the pipe line. The meeting continued with the presentation by Mr. Ico Jalink (Senior Associate Allen & Overy) as the Deputy Head of the Working Group with the main theme of “offshore loan obligations for Indonesian non-bank borrowers”. The presentation and discussion offer an overview of the rules that apply to Indonesian residents that receive loans from offshore lenders and what implications these rules have for Indonesian borrowers.
