Published on 6 November 2024

On the 5th of September, EuroCham was honored to be invited to the Indonesia International Sustainability Forum (IISF) - HSBC Roundtable Dialogue on Keeping Up with International Green Demands - Risk & Opportunities, facilitated by World Resources Institute Indonesia.

The discussion highlighted the upcoming opportunities and challenges for Indonesia’s supply chain transition, specifically in preparing for the international standards such as EUDR, exploring strategies for private sector decarbonization initiatives and emerging low-carbon strategies, and driving transformation in Indonesia’s key commodity sectors.

The event was commenced by opening remarks from Francois de Maricourt (President Director of HSBC Indonesia), along with an introduction on the EUDR Joint Task force by Dida Gardera, S.T., M.SC (Deputy of Food and Agribusiness Coordination for the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs). This was then followed by a panel discussion by Sander Happaerts (Green Counselor at the EU Delegation), Dindin Wahyudin (Expert Staff in the field of Economic Diplomacy at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs), and Ellis Savva (Regional Senior Manager Sustainable Finance at HSBC Asia-Pacific).

We want to thank HSBC for inviting us to this very insightful event.
