Inauguration of the Amandina Bumi Nusantara Plastic Recycling Factory

Published on 20 March 2023

Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Indonesia and Dynapack Asia have inaugurated a PET bottle recycling facility, Amandina Bumi Nusantara, in Bekasi, West Java, which has the capacity to produce 25,000 tons of recycled PET per year. The facility, worth IDR556.2 billion, will help reduce virgin plastic usage, lower carbon emissions, and address Indonesia's plastic waste challenge. The two companies have also established a non-profit organization, Mahija Parahita Nusantara Foundation, to provide locally sourced feedstock to Amandina and support waste collection workers and communities. Recycled PET from Amandina will be transformed into new beverage bottles by CCEP Indonesia and other FMCG companies. The facility's establishment is in line with CCEP's sustainability strategy, which aims to use 50% recycled plastic in its bottles by 2025.
