Infrastructure Working Group Meeting

On 27 July 2018, the Infrastructure Working Group met to discuss the Roles of Infrastructure Investment in the Development of Tourism Sector in Indonesia. To provide insights on the issue, the working group invited speakers from Ministry of Tourism which represented by Mr. Henky Manurung who is the Assistant Deputy for Tourism Investment and Mr. Muhamad Bachrun Artady who is the Vice Chair of Government Task Force 10 for Priority Tourism Destinations. Both of these speakers highlighted how tourism sector has become priority sector under President Jokowi’s administration, and which projects are open for investments.

Mr. Manurung and Mr. Artady later joined the panel discussion which moderated by the Head of Working Group, Mr. Scott Younger of Nusantara Infrastructure. Other speakers at the panel sessions are Mr. Alistair Speirs from SKL Club and Mrs. Dina Simandjuntak from Le Meridien Hotel Jakarta who shared general observation on infrastructure development for Indonesia's tourism sectors, and how could European business can further contribute to enhance . Other participants of the meeting were also actively involved in the panel discussion by providing questions and feedback to the panelists.
