Joint Assessment on New Cargo Manifest Regulation

The Directorate Customs and Excise is planning to fully implement Minister of Finance Regulation No. 158/PMK.04/2017 on the Delivery of Inward Notices, Inward Manifests and Outward Manifests in 2018. Based on a socialization that EuroCham attended on 11 April 2018, this regulation would be implemented at Soekarno Hatta Airport by 25 July 2018, and might be sooner in May at Tanjung Priok Port. Up until now the Customs is still developing their IT system to accommodate the change of procedures.

Previously, on 5 April 2018 EuroCham jointly conducted assessments on the main changes of this regulation with the Indonesia Logistics and Forwarders Association (ALFI) and identified few main concerns as well as proposals for the Customs to improve redress issues in inward cargo manifest, short shipment and partial clearance procedures. A follow up meeting was also organized at EuroCham Office on 12 April 2018 to raise awareness and explore possibilities to conduct joint efforts with other foreign chambers in Indonesia, including the Jakarta Japan Club, American Chamber of Commerce, Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
