Joint Chambers Policy Meeting with Director General of ILMATE/IKFT, Ministry of Industry

On January 24, EuroCham Indonesia was invited to a meeting with Bapak Taufiek Bawazier, Director General of the Metal, Machinery, Transportation Equipment and Electronics Industry and Acting Director General of Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Textile Industries, Ministry of Industry.

The meeting was a joint advocacy effort with AmCham Indonesia, the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Indonesia, the Jakarta Japan Club, BritCham Indonesia, and US-ABC. EuroCham was represented by Riva Dwitya Akhmad (Cosmetics Sub-Working Group, part of FMCG), Suryamin Halim (Retail Sub-Working Group, part of FMCG), and Daniel Kandou.

We sincerely thank Bapak Taufiek Bawazier and the team from both DG ILMATE and DG IKFT for taking the time to engage in a constructive discussion with us regarding the recent Ministry of Trade Regulation No. 36 of 2023 and its implementation within the Ministry of Industry, as well as receiving our inputs and acknowledging our advocacy efforts on this matter.
