Launching of Sustainable Trade and Investment 2025 Report

On the 20th of June, EuroCham Indonesia attended the impactful launch of the Indonesia Sustainable Trade and Investment Report 2025 by the Centre for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), Indonesia Decarbonization for Development (DfD) Lab, and the Ministry of Trade’s Trade Policy Agency. The event, themed "Achieving Resilience and Sustainability amid Uncertainty", was inaugurated by CSIS Executive Director Yose Rizal Damuri and Vice Minister of Trade Dyah Roro Esti.
Researchers Widdi Mugijayani and Via Azlia Widiyadi presented findings on navigating global economic uncertainties while advancing climate commitments, along with a special report on developments in green industry policy and governance.
A panel discussion followed with Fedaus (PT Gunung Raja Paksi Tbk Paksi), Clorinda Kurnia Wibowo (World Resources Institute (WRI) Indonesia), Olvy Andrianita (Ministry of Trade), and Via Azlia Widiyadi. The panel discussion was moderated by Dandy Rafitrandi (Researcher at CSIS Department of Economics)
With global trade tensions rising and climate commitments tightening, the publication emphasizes Indonesia’s window of opportunity to align its growth ambitions with the low-carbon transition. Henceforth, this timely analysis underscores the need for balanced strategies in trade, investment, and climate action. We commend CSIS for this valuable contribution to Indonesia’s sustainable development dialogue.
