Meeting with Directorate of Technical Customs on Document Request Note and automatic suspension of PPJK activities

On 18 August 2021, representatives of the EuroCham Transport and Logistics Working Group and Import-Export Working Group met the Customs Main Office to discuss on the Automatic Suspension of customs clearance service company’s (PPJK) Customs Access in case of not fulfilling data. The Customs Main Office is represented by the Deputy Director for Import, Mr. Chotibul Umam, as well as a number of officials from the Technical Directorate of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise. In this opportunity EuroCham conveys the latest challenges faced by member companies in the transportation and logistics sector as well as importers that occur due to the implementation of the Director General of Customs and Excise Regulation No. PER-16/BC/2016 strictly within the last two weeks. The Customs Main Office received inputs from the members of EuroCham and agree to internally evaluate the implementation of the regulation. Discussion was productive and constructive, both members of EuroCham and the Customs Main Office agreed to continue to improve lead times for imports to Indonesia.
