Policy Meeting with BPJPH regarding Mandatory Halal Certification Preparation

On June 11th, EuroCham was invited to a discussion with the Halal Product Guarantee Agency (Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Produk Halal (BPJPH)) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia) on Halal Obligations in October 2024. The event was held at the Oakwood Hotel in Jakarta. In collaboration with several importers and industry associations, EuroCham was invited to speak about a range of crucial matters concerning the upcoming implementation deadline for halal certification requirements for goods entering, circulating, and transacted in Indonesia.

EuroCham was represented at the meeting by Uti Daniawati M. (Regulatory Affairs Manager Home Care and Personal Care at Unilever and Head of the FMCG Working Group), Widya Herminingsih (Regulatory Affairs at Kerry) and Suryamin Halim (Financial Controller at PT Hindo (H&M)).
