Recycling Coalition (SEA-RC) Seminar

On May 6th, EuroCham Indonesia had the opportunity to attend the Launching of the Southeast Asia Recycling Coalition (SEA-RC) Whitepaper and Panel Discussion on Strengthening Indonesia’s Waste Management Roadmap in Jakarta.

The discussion brought together stakeholders from government, industry, and relevant organizations to exchange perspectives on strengthening Indonesia’s Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) framework and accelerating the transition towards a more sustainable circular economy system.

The event highlighted several important policy considerations, including the expansion of industry and material scope, the establishment of Producer Responsibility Organizations (PROs), eco-modulation mechanisms, and the development of stronger institutional coordination to support effective waste management implementation in Indonesia.

As sustainability and circular economy initiatives continue to gain momentum, collaborative engagement between policymakers, businesses, and industry stakeholders remains essential in supporting Indonesia’s national waste management and recycling targets.
