Revision of Minister of Manpower Regulation No. 8 of 2021 on the Utilization of Foreign Workers

EuroCham Indonesia (The European Business Chamber of Commerce in Indonesia) had the pleasure of attending the joint chambers meeting on 3 August to discuss the plan for refining the technical regulations of foreign workers' utilization with Prof. Dr. Sugeng Heri Suseno, Director General for Workforce Placement Development and Employment Opportunity Expansion, Ministry of Manpower.

The meeting was a joint advocacy effort with AmCham Indonesia, the Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Indonesia, The Jakarta Japan Club, BritCham Indonesia, DBN - Dutch Business Network Indonesia, Indonesia Canada Chamber of Commerce, and the International Business Chamber, and EuroCham was represented by Ibu Elizabeth Sri Rahayu (Danone Indonesia) and Nadira Tatyana from the secretariat.

We would like to thank Prof. Dr. Sugeng Heri Suseno, Bapak Rendra Setiawan (Director of Foreign Worker Utilization) Control, Bapak Ridho Amrullah (Chair of the Feasibility Study Working Group), and Ibu Budi Wikaningtyas (Chair of the Facilitation and Coordination Working Group) for taking the time to engage in a fruitful discussion.
