Stakeholder Consultation Workshop “Analysis of Policy/Regulatory Options for Single-Use Plastic Reduction and Packaging Prevention"

On the 22nd of November, the Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment in collaboration with GIZ Indonesia through The Collaborative Actions for Single Use Plastic Prevention in Southeast Asia (CAP SEA). The event was opened by Christoffer Brick as Project Leader of GIZ CAP SEA) and a keynote speech from Mochamad Saleh Nugrahadi (Assistant Deputy for Watershed Management and Natural Resource Conservation of CMEA). The workshop highlighted issues on plastic reduction in the sea and waste reduction for producers. The participants were grouped together to discuss and analyzed the current regulatory framework on the economics and fiscal instrument to encourage waste recycling as well as reducing the consumption of packaging in Indonesia.
