Sustainable Innovative Transport Solutions: Opportunities and Challenges for Cooperation and Investment

EuroCham participated in Business Roundtable and Dialogue with the European Commissioner for Transport, H.E. Violeta Bulc, on Friday, 29 September 2017. The discussion highlighted topic on “Sustainable Innovative Transport Solutions - Opportunities and Challenges for Cooperation and Investment”. Speakers of the first panel session were Mr. Adrianto Djokosoetono (Chairman of Permanent Committee for Land Transport of KADIN) and Mr. Mathias Ruebke (Head of EuroCham Transport and Logistics Working Group), who also provided speeches on EU-Indonesia cooperation opportunities and challenges from the perspective of both Indonesia and European business communities. This session was moderated by Dr. Francesca Medda (Professor in Infrastructure and Transport Studies, University College London).

H.E. Violeta Bulc provided a keynote speech on Sustainable Innovative Transport Solutions, which was followed by a panel discussion about women's role in the transportation sector. The panel was moderated by Ms. Mari Elka Pangestu (Senior Fellow of Centre for Strategic and International Studies). In this session Ms. Violeta Bulc was accompanied by other panelists Ms. Liana Trisnawati (President Director of PT Terminal Borneo Indonesia), Ms. Eka Sari Soerbakti (President Director of PT Lorena Karina, Ms. Noni Purnomo (President Director of Blue Bird Group, and Mr. Irma Djohan (CFO of Bali International Flight Academy).
