T20 Indonesia Event on Tuberculosis, with Task Force 6 | Global Health Security & COVID-19

On 19 October, EuroCham Indonesia was proud to support the T20 Indonesia Event on Tuberculosis, with the theme "Finding the Missing Cases: Improving Screening and Diagnosis to Combat Drug Resistance and End Tuberculosis, organized by SAIAC, (member of EuroCham) Task Force 6: Global Health Security & COVID-19. It is hoped that there will be a decrease in new cases of deaths due to tuberculosis by 2030, and effective coordination between community health centers and the active case findings to track and facilitate tuberculosis cases.

The event commenced with remarks by Shanti Shamdasani, Co-Chair T20/TF6 GHSC & Founder and CEO of SAIAC, Prof. Bambang Brodjonegoro, Lead Co-Chair T20 Indonesia, dr. Maxi Rein Rondonuwu, Director General for Disease Prevention and Control, Ministry of Health, and Charles Honoris, Vice Chairman of Commission IX, House of Representatives.

The roundtable was attended by notable experts including dr. Imran Pambudi, Director for Communicable Disease Prevention and Control, Ministry of Health, dr. Eliud Wandwalo, Head of Tuberculosis, The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB & Malaria, dr. Anis Karuniawati, Head of the Antimicrobial Resistance Control Committee, Amy Platek, Senior Tuberculosis Technical Advisor of USAID, and also Prof. Ashok Rattan, Chairman of Medical Committee and Quality at Redcliffe Labs.
