The 36th ASEAN Cosmetic Committee (ACC) Meeting

EuroCham had the previledge to be invited as an observer to the 36th ASEAN Cosmetic Committee (ACC) Meeting held on 30 November – 1 December 2022 after previously holding the 36th ASEAN Cosmetic Scientific Body (ACSB) Meeting (21-22 November 2022), the ASEAN Cosmetic Testing Laboratory (ACTLC) (23-24 November 2022) and the ACC Head of Delegation (HoD) on 28 – 29 November 2022.

drh. Rachmi Setyorini, MKM, Director of Standardization of Traditional Medicines, Health Supplements, and Cosmetics – National Agency of Drugs and Food Control (BPOM), served as the Head of the Indonesian Delegation, with Drs. Harry Wahyu T as the chair of ACC. The sessions were held via video conference and was attended by 10 ASEAN member countries as well as representatives from the ASEAN Cosmetics Association (ACA) and several representatives from local and international associations.

The issues discussed at the meeting included amendments to Annex II, III, IV, and VI in the ASEAN Cosmetic Directive (ACD) to update several ingredients used as cosmetics, guidelines related cosmetic refills, cosmetics in vials and ampoules (cosmetic refilling), discussion of country specific requirements and other issues of concern to ASEAN members countries.
