The EuroCham Intellectual Property Working Group Policy Meeting with the Directorate of Investigation & Dispute Settlement (Dit PPNS)

The EuroCham Intellectual Property Work Group held a hybrid Policy Meeting with the Directorate of Investigation & Dispute Settlement (Dit PPNS), Direktorat Jenderal Kekayaan Intelektual (DGIP) of the Kementerian Hukum dan Hak Asasi Manusia Republik Indonesia (Ministry of Law & Human Rights) on 21 December 2022. The meeting proceeded with the theme "Strengthening Enforcement of Intellectual Property Against Counterfeit Goods in E-Commerce", which discussed the technicalities of IP enforcement, including filing complaints, the take-down of websites, and the continuous efforts in preventing the distribution of counterfeit goods.

EuroCham was delighted to have Mr. Ahmad Rifadi, Enforcement and Monitoring Coordinator at the Directorate of Investigation & Dispute Settlement (Dit. PPNS), Directorate General of Intellectual Property (DGIP) at the Ministry of Law & Human Rights, to share his views, expertise and the government's current progress and efforts in the implementation of IP enforcement and monitoring.

The discussion was opened by Kin-Wah Chow, Head of EuroCham Intellectual Property Working Group and Principal at Rouse Indonesia, where the discussion was moderated by Lukman Hakim B., Senior Associate at Rouse Indonesia, and closed by Edison Bako, Executive Director of EuroCham Indonesia.
