On January 19, EuroCham virtually attended a public consultation on the Bill of Government Regulation in Lieu of Law No. 2 of 2022 on Job Creation hosted by Universitas Borobudur. This meeting was opened by the Rector of Universitas Borobudur, Prof. Ir. H. Bambang Bernanthos, M.Sc and followed with a keynote speech by the Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto. This public consultation invited distinguished guests from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, the Ministry of Manpower, the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and academicians from Universitas Borobudur. This provides a good opportunity for the public to raise their concerns on the Government Regulation in Lieu of Law No. 2 of 2022 on Job Creation. The consultation was concluded with a Q&A session with the participants.

On Wednesday, January 18, 2023, the Tobacco Working Group of EuroCham convened a meeting in Edrisi WTC 2. The topics of discussions at the meeting were the position paper 2023, advocacy priorities and planning for upcoming events. The Tobacco Working Group and The Secretariat are preparing for 2023 by creating advocacy strategies and an engaging plan.
