CMA CGM Inauguration Ceremony of SMP Bina Karya Surabaya

EuroCham had the pleasure to witness the inauguration ceremony of the renovated SMP Bina Karya Surabaya on 6 November 2025 with the support of Fondation CMA CGM and Happy Hearts Indonesia. This initiative is part of CMA CGM's ongoing efforts to support the accessibility of quality education for children.

This ceremony was kicked off by remarks from Michel Azrak (President Director at CMA CGM Indonesia), Sylvia Beiwinkler (CEO at Happy Hearts Indonesia), Vincent Padare (Director of IFI Surabaya), Ahmad Syahroni (Representative of Surabaya Education Office), and the Head of Bina Karya Foundation. Guests were also taken for a tour of the renovated classrooms and new buildings made of recycled plastic blocks, locally sourced from Jakarta and Lombok.
