CMA CGM Ocean Day 2026

On 31 July, EuroCham had the pleasure to participate in the CMA CGM Ocean Day 2026 event to Pulau Karang Bongkok. The event was initiated by CMA CGM Indonesia, an esteemed Gold member of EuroCham, and organised by Langit Biru Pertiwi. This moment highlighted the importance of preserving the ocean's delicate ecosystem and marine biodiversity. CMA CGM demonstrated that sustainability is not just a commitment, but it is a strategic responsibility.

This initiative was officially commenced by opening remarks from Ikram Ghazali (President Director of CMA CGM Indonesia) who highlighted the importance of preserving the ocean’s ecosystem and marine biodiversity under the three core pillars of acting for people, planet and fair trade. The remarks were followed by coral planting and clownfish release.

We thank CMA CGM for this milestone event to remind us the importance of preserving the ocean's environment, and we certainly hope to help build this planet into a more sustainable one!
