Danone Indonesia jointly with other companies support Transition for Usage of Renewable Energy

Coinciding with the commemoration of the 76th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, Danone Indonesia together with a number of national and multinational companies from various industrial sectors, expressed support for accelerating the use of renewable energy in Indonesia. This commitment is also in line with the vision of the Government of Indonesia to fulfill 23% of the New Renewable Energy (EBT) mix by 2025.

This statement of support was delivered virtually at the launch of the joint aspiration statement with the theme, "Supporting Indonesia Renewable Energy Transition through Commercial and Industrial Sector Collaboration", which was coordinated and organized by Clean Energy Investment Accelerator (CEIA) Indonesia. Thirteen companies are also part of the CEIA Indonesia Corporate Buyer Working Group, which consists of Danone Indonesia, Amazon, Body Shop, Columbia, H&M group, Multi Bintang Indonesia, New Balance, Nike, Nutrifood, REI, Schneider Electric, Six Senses, and VF Corporation expressed their willingness to partner with the Government of Indonesia, the financial sector, utility partners and other market stakeholders to jointly achieve Indonesia's renewable energy goals. This synergy, in the future, is expected to accelerate the use of renewable energy in Indonesia as well as to become an investment opportunity and create new jobs, so that Indonesia can reach 50% of the NRE mix at the time of commemorating the 100th anniversary of Indonesia's independence in 2045.
