PT DFI Retail Nusantara Tbk (HERO), the operator of the Guardian and IKEA retail chains, is preparing a number of strategies to sustain its performance growth throughout 2026. Hadrianus Wahyu Trikusumo, President Director of DFI Retail Nusantara, stated that HERO is preparing to expand Guardian through licensing and franchising schemes. This strategy will enable the company to accelerate the expansion of the Guardian network to various regions in Indonesia.

Nevertheless, the company will also continue to expand its company-owned Guardian stores by targeting new malls located in strategic areas that meet the company’s criteria. As for IKEA’s development, the company is currently prioritizing the strengthening of its digital channels over the expansion of new physical stores. The reason is that IKEA’s large store sizes require significant operating costs, so the company prefers to maximize the performance of its existing stores first.
