“European Rail Technologies Symposium” at the Indonesian Railway Conference

On July 30th, EuroCham was honoured to participate in the “European Rail Technologies Symposium,” held as part of Day 2 of the Indonesia Railway Conference. With the theme “Indonesian Railways Growing Together with European Rail Technologies,” the symposium aimed to explore synergies between Indonesia’s railway development agenda and innovations from Europe.

The session commenced with welcome remarks from Dr. Ir. Hermanto Dwiatmoko (Chairman of the Indonesian Railway Society), followed by an address from H.E. Barbara Szymanowska (Ambassador of Poland to Indonesia, Timor Leste, and ASEAN) and Edison Bako (Executive Director of EuroCham).

The panel discussion featured Donald Situmorang as the Director of Strategy, Sustainability, and Government Relations, Schneider Electric, an esteemed Platinum Member of EuroCham. The discussion discussed the role of policy, innovation, and partnerships in accelerating the modernization of Indonesia’s rail infrastructure.

The session concluded with closing remarks by Mr. Cezary Filipek, (Director of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency in Jakarta).
