Mental Health Awareness for Gen Z, Maybelline New York Initiates BRAVE Together

Giant cosmetic brand, Maybelline New York introduces its global initiatives ‘Brave Together’ in an effort to support those dealing with mental health issues by providing one-on-one assistance and various educational programs to spread awareness and address the stigma regarding mental health. In collaboration with KALM, an online counseling platform, Maybelline is committed to providing counseling to 10,000 young Indonesians through this campaign.

Research by Maybelline New York has indicated that 6 out of 10 young adults in Indonesia experience symptoms of mental health issues. However, only 15 percent choose to seek help through psychologists due to the fear of uncertainty (60 percent) and concerns on maturity (43 percent). The Brand Manager of Maybelline Indonesia Carla Mangindaan emphasizes the relevance of mental health to promote self-confidence and freedom of expression in line with Maybelline’s mission.
