Metro City Government and Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Indonesia (CCEP Indonesia), one of the leading global FMCG (consumer goods) companies in Indonesia, are committed to conducting a Waste Bank Pilot Project that will facilitate optimal waste management and drive a circular economy in society. The Waste Bank is part of a strategy to reduce the waste load at the Final Disposal Site (TPA) and reduce the risk of greenhouse gases that contribute to climate change, increased sources of methane emissions, and water and soil pollution.

Lucia Karina, Director of Public Affairs, Communications & Sustainability of CCEP Indonesia said, “Through education on proper management and infrastructure, community can implement a circular economy. Where in their daily activities they can recycle the waste they produce and also reducing the causes of environmental pollution. This is part of CCEP Indonesia's commitment to support the Government's agenda.”

The support for the Waste Bank Pilot Project is a manifestation of the 'This is Forward' strategy, a sustainability action plan from the Coca-Cola Europacific Partners group of companies that focuses on six main social and environmental areas with significant impacts, namely: climate, packaging, beverage, community, water and supply chain.
