Company Visit to Unilever

On February 21, coinciding with the National Waste Care Day (Hari Peduli Sampah Nasional/HPSN), EuroCham arranged the second company visit of the year to Unilever Indonesia, a distinguished Gold member of EuroCham. Representatives from our member companies eagerly joined us to delve into Unilever's climate transition action plan.

The visit commenced with a comprehensive presentation by Maya Tamimi, Head of Sustainable Environment at Unilever Indonesia, outlining the company's commitments and initiatives. Subsequently, EuroCham members visited Migunani Asri Madani Community Waste Bank and Refill, one of the 4,000 waste bank networks supported by Unilever. The visit concluded with a tour of the GRHA Unilever office.

Established in 2018, Migunani Asri Madani Waste Bank already serves around 250 regular customers who deposit household waste, accommodating over 30 types of waste, predominantly PET bottles. Noteworthy among their initiatives is the Community Refill Program, an integral component of Unilever's waste collection and processing endeavors.
