EU-ABC Mission Trip

EuroCham participated in the European Union-ASEAN Business Council (EU-ABC) Indonesia Mission Trip 2022. The Mission Trip officially commenced on 29 August and adjourned on 6 September 2022.

This year’s mission trip focused on four key themes:

1. strengthening economic and business cooperation with the Government of Indonesia;
2. integrate sustainable design into Indonesia’s recovery and innovation roadmaps to build a better and more sustainable Indonesia;
3. establish pandemic resiliency by uplifting national healthcare service capabilities and ecosystem and adoption of digital technology; and
4. help Indonesia build back better by leveraging rapid digitalization and the new digital economy.

During the mission trip, the delegation met and engaged though a constructive dialogue (conducted online as well as offline) with several high rank officials. The delegation met with senior officials from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) and Bank Indonesia on 29 August. The delegation subsequently conducted meetings with senior level officials from the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MoCI), the Chairman of the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and officials from the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DGCE) on 30 August. On 31 August, the delegation had the opportunity to exchange views with the National Research Agency (BRIN) and the Ministry of Finance. The delegation subsequently conducted meetings with officials from the Ministry of Investment (BKPM), the Ministry of Health, and the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (MoTCE) the following day (1 September). And lastly, the delegation met with officials from the Ministry of Transportation on 6 September.
