EU - ABC Mission Trip to Indonesia

EuroCham was delighted to collaborate in the EU-ASEAN Business Council Mission Trip to Indonesia 2023 commenced on 31 July and concluded on 29 August 2023. This year’s mission trip was highly anticipated, as reflected by a record of the highest number of delegates.

This mission trip mainly focused on strengthening the global supply chain through industrialization and downstream strategy and infrastructure development in many sectors, including medical and health technology, digital products and services, and sectors related to emission reduction. During the mission trip, the EuroCham team and members cordially visited a number of ministries and agencies.

• Ministry of Trade

EuroCham was honored to convene and discuss with the Minister of Trade, H.E. Zulkifli Hasan, at the Ministry of Trade Republic of Indonesia Office. In this meeting, EuroCham was led by its Chairman, Francois de Maricourt (President Director at HSBC Indonesia). In this discussion, the Minister encouraged collaboration between the government and business actors to strengthen trade ties by expediting the I-EU CEPA. Discussed other trade policies, such as export and import, e-commerce, international trade, and prospective support needed from the business sector.
