EU Agri-Food Business Forum

On the 28th of October, EuroCham was invited to collaborate on the EU Agri-Food Business Forum that was held to coincide with the visit of the European Commissioner for Agriculture, Janusz Wojciechowski. During the event, Commissioner Wojciechowski presented certificates to three Indonesian Geographical Indication (GI) producer associations. These associations benefit from the protection offered by the EU's GI system, which recognizes the unique culinary heritage and authenticity of their products.

This event also features a cooking demonstration showcasing GI products from Indonesia and the EU, as well as celebrating local knowledge, traditional methods and authentic flavors that define both Indonesia and Europe.

As part of the visit, Commissioner Wojciechowski led a delegation of 12 prominent EU agri-food businesses from eight countries, representing a wide variety of world-renowned EU products, including dairy, meats, prepared foods, wines and spirits. The delegation engaged in a comprehensive program while in Indonesia that included market access seminars, networking events, retail visits, business-to-business meetings, and an agri-food business forum.
