Welcome
EuroCham CEO Briefing with EU Ambassador to Indonesia
On 23 June 2026, EuroCham Indonesia organized an insightful CEO Briefing on “Indonesia & the EU: Geopolitical & Economic Outlook”, graciously hosted by the EU Delegation to Indonesia at the residence of the Ambassador of the European Union to Indonesia.
We were honored to welcome H.E. Denis Chaibi, Ambassador of the European Union to Indonesia and Brunei Darussalam, who shared valuable perspectives on how evolving geopolitical dynamics and the forthcoming Indonesia–EU Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (I-EU CEPA) may shape trade, investment, and business operations in Indonesia. The event was also attended by Ambassadors from EU Member States and their representatives.
The session opened with welcoming remarks from the Vice Chairman of EuroCham Indonesia, Christofer Arisandy (Managing Director of BASF Indonesia, and Business Director for ASEAN and Australia). The discussion explored the impact of current geopolitical developments on Indonesia–EU economic relations, the role of the I-EU CEPA in strengthening business confidence and enhancing supply chain resilience, and the opportunities and expectations for European businesses as we look ahead to CEPA implementation in 2027. Participants also exchanged views on fostering stronger engagement between the business community, the EU, and EU Member States.
We extend our sincere thanks to all participants for their active engagement and valuable contributions to the discussion. We look forward to welcoming you to our next exclusive event.
